Short answer
Choose Standard for the game alone, Eclipse for digital lore and music, Day One for a physical Steelbook and map, or Collector's for both the digital extras and the full physical set. None of the premium editions changes the base campaign or grants early access.
Key facts
- Four editions: Standard, Eclipse, Day One, and Collector's
- All include the same base game
- Eclipse extras are a compendium, comic, and soundtrack
- The preorder armor is an early unlock obtainable later in-game
- No edition grants early access
Edition comparison
All four editions include the complete base game. The premium options add media or collectibles around the game rather than missions, powers, stat boosts, or an earlier starting date.
Availability and physical stock vary by retailer. The official guide identifies Day One and Collector's as physical formats, Eclipse as the digital extras route, and Standard as the straightforward base-game choice.
| Content | Standard | Eclipse | Day One | Collector's |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Base game | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Digital World Compendium | No | Yes | No | Yes |

Which edition fits which buyer?
Standard is the cleanest choice if you only want to play. Eclipse is for players who want the soundtrack and more background material without physical shelf items. Day One is aimed at physical collectors who want a Steelbook and printed map but not the digital lore bundle.
Collector's combines the physical map and Steelbook with the hardcover compendium, Coen figurine, and Eclipse digital content. It is the broadest package, but the game itself is not expanded by those items.
- Gameplay-first: Standard
- Digital lore and soundtrack: Eclipse
- Physical case and map: Day One
- All announced extras: Collector's
What the preorder armor actually means
The Sangoran Wayfarer's Armor Set equips Coen with armor carrying the emblem of a traveling smith. It was offered as a digital preorder bonus across the editions described by Bandai Namco.
The publisher describes the set as early-unlock content and says every player can obtain it later in the game. Preordering gave earlier access to the armor; players who bought after launch can still earn it during play.
Can Standard owners add the Eclipse extras later?
The official edition guide says the Eclipse digital content can be purchased as an upgrade for Standard and Day One editions. That reduces the pressure to choose the digital bundle before you know whether you want the compendium, comic, and soundtrack.
Retailer bundles and regional pricing can differ, so compare the exact store SKU rather than assuming every physical package includes a digital upgrade code.
September 29: find the Eclipse soundtrack in Steam
The official soundtrack is now a standalone entry in the Steam Library for Eclipse Edition Content owners. Open the library’s Soundtracks view or sub-folder, then download the MP3 or WAV files for Steam playback or local listening.
The September 29 announcement says the soundtrack cannot be purchased separately. Owning the standard game is not the entitlement described in that post. If it is absent, compare the edition or content package on your account before reinstalling the game.
- 1
Confirm that this Steam account owns Eclipse Edition Content.
- 2
Switch the Library view to include Soundtracks and find The Blood of Dawnwalker soundtrack.
- 3
Download the format you want; MP3 and WAV are both listed in the release notice.
- 4
For missing access, keep your purchase record and contact the storefront rather than buying an unlisted standalone soundtrack.
