PC is now live worldwide

Steam and GOG reached the same worldwide unlock at midnight CEST in Warsaw on September 3, equal to 22:00 UTC on September 2. The PC build is now live, and the earlier September 2 date shown in some regions was the local conversion of that moment.

This was a single worldwide release. Players in the Americas received access on the evening of September 2 while players in Asia saw September 3 on the calendar. Steam and GOG are both past that launch window; a locked copy today needs an account, installation, or storefront check.

PC release time by city

The table converts the single 22:00 UTC PC unlock for common launch regions. Dates and times are local to the listed city and use the daylight-saving offset active on September 2 or 3, 2026.

For India, 22:00 UTC plus the 5-hour-30-minute IST offset gives 3:30 AM on September 3. For another city, convert the same UTC instant using the offset active on the launch date. Console times follow a separate regional rule.

PS5 and Xbox regional release times

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S launched at midnight on September 3 for the store region attached to the account, subject to the exceptions below. This schedule is now historical; all of those release times have passed.

Rebel Wolves lists two exceptions. North and South America use midnight EDT in New York, so western time zones can open the game on the evening of September 2. Countries spanning multiple time zones, including Australia and Indonesia, use midnight in the capital city's time zone.

• Most other regions: September 3 at local midnight
• Multi-time-zone countries: midnight in the capital city's time zone
• The store-account region determined the launch schedule

Steam and GOG downloads after launch

Preloading was preparation for the September launch. To play now, open the owning account’s Steam or GOG library, select the base game, and install it with any available updates. An old preload notice is no longer a reason to wait for a release countdown.

All four editions used the same platform launch schedule. The Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor Set was a preorder early item unlock, and the official edition guide says it can also be obtained later during play. It did not provide an earlier start to the campaign.

• Keep additional free space beyond the listed 60 GB SSD requirement for updates
• Finish queued downloads and updates before launching
• Check that the selected product is the full game, not an Eclipse digital extra

What to do if the game is still locked

The global launch is complete. If your copy still appears locked, confirm that the signed-in account owns the base game. A soundtrack, comic, or Eclipse content add-on does not provide the base-game license.

Restart the client or console and finish any queued installation or update. If the owning account still cannot launch the full game, use support for the store where you bought it and include the purchase record and exact error. Buying another edition or changing the device clock is unnecessary.
