PC Gamer reports that the final decision in Echoes of Silenced Bells does not block the romance. Its route also allows the romance after either Font outcome; letting Anca use it gives her a happier personal resolution. These are story preferences, not interchangeable requirements.
Polygon likewise describes the prologue reading scene as optional for later romance. Its walkthrough says Coen can refuse the idol sacrifice or take the Font and still romance Anca, although some flirtatious dialogue is lost. At the inn, reciprocate her interest, suggest enjoying yourselves, and accept the intimate invitation.
When following a dialogue guide, distinguish “this gives a warmer response” from “this is necessary to continue.” Save before the conversation if you want to compare reactions. Keep your original slot so experimenting with the scene does not replace the route you preferred.
How the route can be lost
Anca is human. Polygon warns that speaking to her as a severely injured vampire, below one health chunk, can kill her through blood hunger. It also warns to clear the temple of monsters before leaving her there. These survival situations matter more than missing an optional compliment.
Before visiting her at night, inspect Coen’s health and resolve immediate danger first. At the temple, make a checkpoint before separating. If she dies in your current branch, use a save from before the incident; repeating a later conversation cannot repair the earlier loss.
